Playing Together for a Better Tomorrow Comic Books

"Playing Together for a Better Tomorrow" is a co-funded project by the European Union aimed at empowering war refugees and promoting social inclusion through sports and storytelling. 3TA Design has contributed significantly to this project by creating six unique comic books, each designed for both digital and print formats. These comics, inspired by the iconic styles of 90s Marvel and DC, Manga, 70s American comics, and modern minimalism, depict powerful stories of resilience, hope, and integration.


In this specific presentation, we showcase six comic books, each crafted with a unique artistic style to tell compelling stories of refugees overcoming challenges and finding hope in new communities. Utilizing AI graphics, we aimed to capture the essence of classic and contemporary comic art.

-Language Barrier at the Beauty Salon Experience the heartwarming tale of Anna, a young Ukrainian refugee, as she navigates language barriers in a Lithuanian beauty salon. With the help of a kind bilingual customer, Anna's story highlights the importance of inclusivity and diversity.

-Dreams Smelling of Gunpowder Follow Mohammed's journey from war-torn Syria to a new life in Kilis, Turkey. Through resilience and community support, Mohammed's story showcases the transformative power of compassion and inclusion.

-Journey of Hope Witness the poignant journey of a young girl finding refuge in Turkey. Through powerful visuals, her story of resilience and renewal in Kilis emphasizes the city's compassion and solidarity.

-Boxing as a Tool for Social Inclusion Explore Ryan's battle against prejudice and his journey to belonging through boxing. With the support of his coach, Ryan's story highlights empowerment and unity in the face of adversity.

-Integration into New School Follow Maxim, a teenage refugee from Ukraine, as he finds friendship and support in a Lithuanian school. His story underscores the importance of kindness and inclusion in building a welcoming community.

-School for Everyone Join Mark, a passionate young basketball player, as he overcomes exclusion and builds friendships in an international school. His journey, guided by a perceptive teacher, showcases the power of teamwork and inclusion.
